Terms & Conditions of Enrolment
This agreement governs the enrolment of students at Robin’s Private Music Centre (“the Academy”).
1. Application for Music Lessons
1.1 Personal Information
The applicant agrees to provide accurate and complete personal information, including full name, date of birth, age, email address, residential address, and contact number. The Academy shall not be held responsible for issues arising from incorrect or outdated information.
1.2 Choice of Instrument and Schedule
Students may select one, two, or more instruments and activities and indicate preferred lesson days. All lesson schedules are subject to tutor and studio availability. The Academy reserves the right to allocate or adjust lesson times, provided reasonable notice is given.
2. Guardian Responsible for Fees
2.1 Financial Responsibility
The parent/guardian listed on the application form accepts full legal and financial responsibility for all fees payable under this agreement, regardless of the student’s attendance, participation, or continuation with lessons.
3. Academic & Lesson Structure
3.1 Lesson Format
- Lessons are one (1) hour in duration
- 30 minutes theory
- 30 minutes practical
- Students are expected to complete assigned work at home
3.2 Attendance
- Students must attend lessons at their allocated time
- Missed lessons are forfeited and will not be refunded or rescheduled
- Lessons may only be excused in cases of serious illness or emergency and must be supported by substantial written proof (e.g. medical letter), submitted within 48 hours
3.3 Tutor Absence
If a tutor is unavailable, the Academy will provide a make-up session at a mutually agreed time.
3.4 Grades & Progression
- The programme consists of eight (8) grades/levels
- Beginners are enrolled in Initial Grade
- Student progress is formally assessed in December each year
- Students who do not meet progression requirements will repeat the grade, and applicable fees will continue
4. Fees & Payment Terms
4.1 Registration Fee
A non-refundable registration fee of NAD 500 is payable upon enrolment.
4.2 Monthly Fees

Initial Grade: NAD 580 p/m (below 13)
NAD 680 p/m (14 years and older) - Standard Certification Grade (ABRSM): NAD 900 p/m
- Premium Certification Grade (ABRSM): NAD 1,500 p/m
- Each programme offers options for once, twice, or thrice weekly lessons. Prices are subject to change based on lesson frequency.
4.3 Payment Due Dates
- Monthly fees are due on the 1st of each month
- A 10% late payment penalty applies from the 5th day of the month of non-payment
4.4 Duration of Contract
- Enrolment is for a mandatory 12-month period to complete all grades
- Fees remain payable for the full duration unless cancelled in accordance with Section 5
4.5 Mid-Month Enrolment
Students joining mid-month shall pay the full registration fee and 50% of the monthly fee. Full fees apply from the following month.
5. Cancellation, Termination & Penalties
5.1 Voluntary Cancellation
- One (1) full calendar month written notice is required
- Notice may be submitted via email, WhatsApp, or physical letter
- Fees remain payable during the notice period
5.2 Cancellation Fees
- Initial Grading Programme: NAD 900
- Standard Certification Programme: NAD 1,400
- Premium Programme: NAD 1,800
Cancellation fees are payable regardless of notice given.
5.3 Termination by the Academy
- Non-payment of fees
- Absence from classes for two (2) consecutive months
- Repeated absenteeism
- Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour
Outstanding fees and penalties remain payable after termination.
5.4 Exceptional Circumstances
- Medical emergencies
- Relocation
All requests must be supported by written proof and are approved at the Academy’s discretion.
6. Certificates & Results
The Academy reserves the right to withhold certificates, assessment reports, results, and recommendations until all outstanding fees and penalties are fully settled.
7. Publicity & Media
No photographs or videos of students will be used for publicity or marketing purposes unless a separate Media Release Form has been signed by the parent/guardian.
8. Force Majeure
The Academy shall not be held liable for interruptions caused by events beyond its control, including power outages, natural disasters, government restrictions, or emergencies. Fees remain payable during such periods.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If unresolved within 30 days, the parties agree to mediation before pursuing legal remedies in the courts of the Academy’s jurisdiction.
10. General
- Amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties
- This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties
